EveryLens
EveryLens is a group photo sharing website run by Torus Labs. EveryLens makes it easy for event organizers to create a group photo gallery, allowing attendees to contribute the photos they take to a common place. EveryLens is currently free and has been used for weddings, birthdays, camping trips, family photo albums, and more. We are actively adding new features and improving the site.

Our Contribution: EveryLens is our own website which we designed, built, launched, and maintain. EveryLens demonstrates our ability to conceptualize and build a modern web application quickly and leanly. It also shows our ability to master new languages and platforms, since our focus had been on graphics programming in C prior to building EveryLens.

Technologies used include LAMP, CSS, javascript, AJAX, JSON. EveryLens runs on a RAID-6 Debian server that we own and configured ourselves.

Thoroughbred People
Torus Labs is collaborating with Carl Wilson to complete and launch a horse-related website with an innovative business model.

Our Contribution: When the site's previous developer moved on, Torus Labs jumped in to take over and give the project new life. We are quickly ramping up and taking over an existing codebase that is large, complicated, and poorly documented.

Technologies used include LAMP, CSS, javascript and jquery.

PowerCloud Systems
PowerCloud Systems is a very cool startup with a strong team, making their way out of incubation at Xerox PARC. They build cloud-based management software for networking devices and license it to OEMs.

Our Contribution: Torus Labs is helping PowerCloud Systems design and implement software to efficiently manage and present massive amounts of data.

Technologies used include python, django, and javascript.

Khronos Group
Torus Labs collaborated with the Khronos Group graphics standards body to develop a sample implementation of a new API for enabling interaction between multimedia (OpenMAX IL) and graphics (OpenGL ES 1.0/2.0, OpenVG) in mobile devices.

Our Contribution: We developed an API sample implementation in Linux building upon the open source MESA, Gallium3D, and Bellagio projects. We attended weekly working group meetings, provided significant feedback on the APIs and authored extension specifications.

Technologies used include Linux, C, C++, OpenGL ES 1.0 & 2.0, OpenVG, OpenMAX IL, OpenKODE, EGL, git.

We are looking to take on a larger software project ($300k+ budget). For more info see the Commission Us page.
